Stay on top of economic troubles with budget software

More and more people today are worried about what’s going on in the financial markets. Keeping a strict family budget is a good way to stay on top of these troubles. Alzex Personal Finance will help you to do budget easily.

Home accounting software

Alzex Personal Finance is an elegant and super easy home accounting software. It has been designed with the beginning budgeter in mind who is just taking the first steps into the world of personal finance software and feels embarrassed by bloated features of the top financial software he already tried. Personal Finances Pro puts together all of your credit cards, checking accounts, savings accounts, cash and financial transactions into one place, letting you make a well balanced home budget for the whole family with a remarkable ease.

When you run Alzex Finance, it opens into a simple main window with a clean layout of accounts, transactions and icons that open budget management wizards. Everything is just a click away. To enter a new account, you click the Accounts button on the top of the window, to add a new transaction, you click the Add button on the left, and to see reports, you click the Reports button – one click gets you anywhere.

Setup is a piece of cake

To get started with Alzex Personal Finance, you need to set up accounts and enter transactions – current or planned purchases and income. The program allows you to set up different accounts, such as credit card, debit card, checking account, savings account and cash. For each account, you specify its name, currency, initial balance, and personalize the account with a nice icon. What’s more, you can set a spending limit for each expense account by allocating the maximum amount of money you can afford to spend over a particular period of time.

The next thing to do is to enter transactions. Transactions can be associated with categories, family members and tags, which will help you to see in details where your money goes when you generate budget reports. Tags will help to differentiate between similar transactions that fall into the same category. Grouping by family members will tell you about spending habits of each member of your family.

To cut down on data entry, you can use the History button. It lets you select from the list of frequent transactions, such as car, cat food, cell phone, internet, jeans, etc. When any of the suggested expenses is selected, the program opens the transaction register wizard where all fields are already filled out with data – account, amount of money, category. The only thing you’ll have to do is to click the OK button to enter this transaction into the account.

In addition to one-time transactions, you can enter scheduled transactions for recurring expense or income. You enter a scheduled transaction in the same way as a normal one – type in a name, total amount and spending category. Then you assign the date. This date appears on the personal finance calendar and in the list of transactions that are due. When the due date for a transaction comes, you should choose it from the calendar or list and click the “Apply Now” option. This will enter the scheduled transaction into the account used to pay the bill.

Make a spending plan for cheaper living

Once you have familiarized yourself with Alzex Personal Finance, you should sit down with your family and ask yourselves questions like how much money you earn, how much you spend and what financial priorities you have. The most important thing is to make sure you know where everything is going.

The next thing to do is to develop a spending plan. Enter everything you need to purchase and everything you will earn into Alzex Finance, transaction by transaction. Define transactions with categories – food, gas, internet, electricity and family member tags – you, your spouse and kids. The latter will help you track your budget by person, see who overspends and fine-tune the budget to make it fair for everyone.

When you have entered your financial data, it’s time to see whether you live within the money you make. Alzex Personal Finance can make clean, colorful pie and bar chart reports with percentages and totals that will reflect income and spending across all budget categories, spending by family members and tags over a selected period of time. By clicking on any budgeted item in a report, you can drill down to transactions associated with it.

Now, look over the expense and income categories in reports and decide with your spouse how much you can afford to spend. If your purchases exceed income, see together where you can put your belt tighter and cut back on the purchases you can do without, for example, expensive wine, cigars, restaurants, travel, etc. Trimming the budget may be painful but it’s always better than adding debt to your life.
